SEO audit

Free SEO audit: find out what keeps you behind your competitors

We look at your website the way Google sees it and send you a clear plan of what to fix first. No obligation, within one working day.

SEO audit

What's included

Real work, not promises

Every item comes with its own deadline and its own measure of success.

Technical check

Speed, mobile version, indexing, 404 errors, duplicate content and security.

Keywords

What the site ranks for today, what it should rank for, and where the quickest wins are.

Competitor analysis

Who is ahead of you, why, and what you can do better.

Content and structure

Whether every service has its own page and whether your pages answer the questions customers actually ask.

Local visibility

Google Business Profile, reviews and consistent contact details.

90-day plan

A prioritised task list with an estimate of the impact of each task.

What an SEO audit is

An SEO audit is a thorough review of a website from Google’s point of view. It shows what is stopping the site from reaching page one and what needs to be done first. A good audit is not a list of 200 automated warnings. It is a clear plan: what is urgent, what is important and what can wait.

We carry out every audit by hand, with the help of professional tools, and tailor it to your business. The same technical issue does not carry the same weight for an online shop with a thousand products as it does for a law firm’s website.

What we check, step by step

Technical health

Indexing, sitemap and robots.txt, speed and Core Web Vitals on mobile, canonical URLs, redirects, 404 and 5xx errors, duplicate content, HTTPS and structured data.

Keywords and rankings

Which searches the site shows up for today, in which positions, and which important searches it misses completely. We look especially hard for low-hanging fruit: pages in positions 5 to 20 that can move to the top quickly.

Content and structure

Whether every service, category and location has its own page, whether pages compete with each other for the same terms (keyword cannibalisation) and whether the copy answers the questions your customers ask.

Competitors

Who is ahead of you for the searches that matter most, how much content and how many links they have, and where they are weak.

Local visibility

Google Business Profile, categories, reviews and consistent business details across directories.

AI visibility (AEO and GEO)

Whether AI crawlers can access the site, whether your pages give clear answers and carry schema markup, and how ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews describe you today.

What you get

  • an overview of the most important issues, explained in language that makes sense to someone who is not a developer,
  • a prioritised task list with an estimate of the impact of each task,
  • a list of the keywords with the greatest potential,
  • a plan for the first 90 days,
  • a recommendation on whether it makes more sense to fix the current site or build a new one.

You can carry out the plan yourself, with your own developer or with us. The audit does not commit you to anything.

What we find most often

Every website is different, but some problems come up so often that we check for them first:

ProblemWhy it mattersPriority
Pages blocked from indexing or missing from the indexGoogle does not show them at allUrgent
Slow website on mobileCustomers give up, rankings sufferHigh
One page for every serviceNo page that can rank for an individual serviceHigh
Duplicate titles and meta descriptionsGoogle cannot tell which page to showMedium
Broken links and old redirectsLost authority and a poor user experienceMedium
Incomplete Google Business ProfileMissed local callsHigh for local businesses
No tracking of enquiries and callsNobody knows what actually brings in workHigh

Free audit vs in-depth audit

The free audit is a review of the most important issues and opportunities, with a plan of what to do first. For most businesses it is enough to make a decision. For large websites, online shops with thousands of products, redesigns or traffic drops after a Google update we also carry out an in-depth audit: a full crawl of the site, log file analysis where possible, and a review of every page template, the link profile and the content, with a page-by-page report. The in-depth audit is part of a paid engagement and its scope is agreed separately.

What happens after the audit

You can put the audit plan into practice in three ways:

  1. On your own or with your developer. We write the plan so that it makes sense without us, with clear steps.
  2. Partly with us. We handle the SEO side (content, structure, Google profile) and your developer makes the technical changes following our instructions.
  3. Fully with us. We take over the implementation and the monthly work, with a report on what has been done and how the results are moving.

A quick self-check before the audit

If you would like to look at things yourself before getting in touch, check the following:

  • type site:yourdomain.com into Google and see how many pages are in the index and whether they are the right ones;
  • open the site on your phone and check that it loads quickly and that your phone number and enquiry button are visible straight away;
  • look at your page titles in the search results: do they say what you do?
  • look at your Google Business Profile: category, opening hours, photos and reviews;
  • if you use Search Console, look at the indexing report and Core Web Vitals.

A detailed technical checklist is available in our guide Technical SEO checklist.

When is the right time for an audit

  • when visits or enquiries from Google are falling for no obvious reason,
  • before a redesign or a move to a new platform, so you do not lose your rankings,
  • after a redesign, if your rankings have dropped,
  • before you start paying an SEO agency, so you know what you really need,
  • when competitors take over positions you used to hold.

Send us your website address and a few sentences about what you sell, to whom and where. If you can give us access to Google Search Console the audit will be more precise, but it is not required. We reply within one working day.

FAQ

SEO audit: questions and answers

Yes. The audit is free and does not commit you to working with us.

We send our reply within one working day of receiving your request.

Your website address and a couple of sentences about what you sell and where are enough.

Yes. We check whether AI crawlers can access the site, whether your pages give clear answers and carry schema markup, and how AI tools describe you today.

By a person, with the help of tools. The tools find the problems, and we judge which ones matter for your business.

Not for the basic audit. For a deeper analysis, access to Search Console and Analytics helps.

Yes, with particular attention to categories, filters, product pages and Merchant Center.

The free audit shows the most important issues and priorities. The in-depth audit goes through the whole site page by page, with an analysis of links and content, and is meant for large websites, online shops and redesigns.

You can do a basic check yourself with Google Search Console, PageSpeed Insights and an index check. Interpreting the results and setting priorities takes experience, because not every error matters equally.

A full audit is worth doing once a year and before every redesign. The basics, such as indexing and errors in Search Console, should be checked every month.

We can give them detailed instructions, or make the technical changes ourselves with your consent and access to the site.
